After months of anticipation, Legacy Ventures the local restaurant, hotel and development company behind popular downtown restaurants such as Der Biergarten, Max’s Coal Oven Pizza, STATS Brewpub, Twin Smokers BBQ and more, officially opened doors to its newest concept, Dos Bocas on Tuesday, September 17. Open for lunch and dinner, Dos Bocas offers a fresh take on Cajun and Tex-Mex cuisine.

The menu at Dos Bocas is influenced by the roadside stands and mom-and-pop shacks found along the 300-mile stretch between San Antonio and New Orleans, where the team previously spent time working. Must-try dishes include blackened redfish, seafood campechana and homemade enchiladas. Pair a plate of steak fajitas with a “Lonestar Margarita” made with Dos Bocas Double Barrel Herradura Reposada, while sitting back on the spacious, second story patio that overlooks Centennial Olympic Park. Complementing the Cajun and Tex-Mex inspired dishes, the beverage program features a selection of cocktails from both sides, including a traditional Hurricane and Sazerac from New Orleans, as well as, different variations of margaritas and a robust tequila selection.

Legacy Ventures worked with local design firm ASD|SKY to capture the spirit of both cultures throughout the 8,000 square foot space. Part Cajun, part Tex-Mex, this cultural mashup pays homage to the best of both worlds. The restaurant is split into two levels, offering a more intimate cocktail bar experience on the first level and spacious dining and bar area on the second. The interiors have been transformed into a unique space featuring elements of distressed wood, warm lighting, bright and bold colors, patterns and textures, and custom graphics illustrating the food journey through Texas, Louisiana and Mexico.

Dos Bocas is located at located in the heart of Downtown’s Centennial Park District at 275 Baker Street, within walking distance of downtown hotels and attractions such as the Georgia Aquarium, Centennial Olympic Park, State Farm Arena and The Tabernacle. The restaurant is open Monday to Sunday, from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Check out the menu and make your next reservation!
