Atlanta’s coolest and sweetest summer tradition is back! This Saturday, August 24, from 1 to 2:30 p.m., join Slow Food Atlanta and the Peachtree Road Farmers Market for the 13th Annual Ice Cream Social at The Cathedral of St. Philip. Guests of all ages are invited to sample seasonal ice cream flavors prepared by acclaimed local chefs and ambitious amateurs in partnership with local farmers. This year’s participants include chef Victoria Shore of Recess, as well as popular restaurants such as Aziza, Wrecking Bar Brewpub, KR Steakbar, Kimball House, Murphy’s, Butter and Cream, Empire State South and Aix, among others.

Open to the public, advanced tickets are $20 for adults, $5 for children (five and over), and free for kids four and under. Each ticket includes an all-access pass to each and every flavor. Don’t forget to B.Y.O.S. (bring your own spoon!) and enjoy good, old-fashioned summertime fun. Proceeds from the event support Peachtree Road Farmers Market’s 13th season and Slow Food Atlanta’s work advocating and educating for good, clean and fair food for all.
